HMS to add support for Powerlink
HMS Industrial Networks announces that the Anybus CompactCom range will be extended with a module for Ethernet Powerlink.
Scheduled release is the second half of 2012.

See what HMS is doing with integrated safety at the SPS/IPC/Drives event in Nuremberg
Safety-related functions in industrial plants are often implemented in separate networks. This means increased expenditures for installation, maintenance and engineering.
At the SPS/IPC/Drives event in Nuremberg, Germany, November 22-24, HMS will present a new way of integrating safety functions into the plant's regular network (while staying compliant with AIDA requirements/Profisafe).

Record levels for sales and orders during the third quarter
"After three strong quarters with a growth rate exceeding 23 percent in local currencies, we can now present record levels both in sales and order intake during the third quarter.
Despite the increasing uncertainty in the market we can show stability in the reported figures and the company´s financial position. This gives us the possibility to continue our planned expansion although at a slower pace than originally planned."

Netbiter® EasyConnect 250 enables remote management of field equipment using Ethernet and GPRS

The new Netbiter EasyConnect 250 is a communication gateway which connects to any type of field equipment allowing it to be supervised and controlled over a web inteface.
What's new about the EasyConnect 250 is the failover function to GPRS. If the Ethernet connection should go down for any reason, the Netbiter gateway sends the same data over GPRS (the mobile phone network). This considerably improves uptime, especially in areas where the Ethernet connection may be unstable.

Anybus CompactCom Case study:
"Our pressure controllers have worldwide communication connectivity capabilities"
VAT Vakuumventile AG in Switzerland had to find a solution to implement CC-Link and other industrial networks in their control valves:
"We chose HMS because of the amount of supported fieldbuses, the ability to provide a CC-Link module as a standard product and finally the size of the company which offers us guarantees," explains Thomas Grebenz at VAT.
"It also is very easy to add new fieldbus compatibility to our control valves. With the Anybus CompactCom, we get access to other networks too, which means our pressure controllers have worldwide communication connectivity capabilities."
