Anybus-CompactCom provides instant Modbus-RTU connectivity via the uniform Anybus-CompactCom host interface. Since the Anybus-CompactCom software interface is designed to be protocol independent, no additional driver code needs to be written in order to use the module and take advantage of it?s features. Process data and ADI?s (Parameter Data) is accessed from the Modbus-RTU network via normal Modbus commands. Diagnostic functionality is provided via the generic Diagnostic Object, and optional support for Channel-and Identifier- related diagnostics is provided via a dedicated Additional Diagnostic Object.
