What is EtherCAT
EtherCAT is a real-time Ethernet Master/Slave network developed by Beckhoff. Today, it is an open standard, managed by the EtherCAT technology group. EtherCAT sets new limits for real-time performance. Regarding topology, EtherCAT supports a simple low cost line structure, a tree structure, daisy chaining or drop lines - no expensive infrastructure components are required. Learn more about EtherCAT

EtherCAT CommunicatorAnybus Communicator is a stand-alone protocol converter enabling you to connect your device to EtherCAT.

It doesn't matter if your device runs CAN, RS232/422/485, Modbus RTU, DF1 or any other proprietary protocol.

You configure the connection in a configuration manager software which means no programming is needed.
